Principal AI Governance Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal AI Governance Scientist - Artificial Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluation and assurance efforts within the AI Governance team
• Develop and design evaluation methodologies for AI system performance and safety across the AI lifecycle
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while collaborating with external researchers and institutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred
• 6+ years of AI/ML research experience, including 3+ years focused on model evaluation and safety
• Deep technical expertise in modern AI systems and experience with large language models and generative AI
• Strong foundation in statistical methods, experimental design, and Python programming skills
• Familiarity with Python-based AI/ML stacks and evaluation frameworks
