Principal AI Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and building interfaces, systems, and agents for enterprise data usability, the full-time remote Principal AI Platform Engineer will create agentic data interfaces, develop data agents, and ensure safe data access for AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design agentic data interfaces that enable AI agents to discover and safely utilize data products
• Build MCP-compatible endpoints, tools, and APIs for governed AI/data access
• Partner with product, engineering, and customer teams to translate enterprise AI/data use cases into product capabilities

Required qualifications

• Strong experience in data engineering, data platforms, distributed systems, or enterprise data infrastructure
• Practical experience building AI-enabled data systems, retrieval systems, or data agents
• Strong knowledge of SQL, APIs, and metadata systems
• Experience with governance, including access control, policies, and data quality
• Strong Python skills and experience with backend services and AI frameworks
