Principal AI Product Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing AI-Enhanced Product Engineering team, the full-time Principal AI Product Engineer will lead a distributed team in designing, developing, and deploying AI-integrated software solutions, while mentoring developers and optimizing system architecture remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-enhanced software solutions, ensuring alignment with modern architectural principles
• Architect and implement APIs and microservices to integrate AI capabilities, while developing prompt strategies for AI agents
• Mentor nearshore developers and promote best practices in clean code and modern software design

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on architectural leadership
• 2+ years of production experience with AI/ML models
• Strong backend or full-stack development experience (Python, Java, Go, or Node.js)
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Devin AI, GPT APIs)
• Proven experience leading distributed or nearshore engineering teams
