Principal AI Researcher

Job Summary

Driving the long-term research direction for the Trase operating system, the full-time Principal AI Researcher will lead innovative research in agentic systems and AI infrastructure, focusing on translating frontier AI research into scalable, production-grade systems in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the AI/ML research strategy and technical roadmap for Trase OS in alignment with product direction
• Lead large-scale experimentation and prototyping efforts, translating AI research into deployable systems
• Drive original research in agentic systems, multi-agent orchestration, and AI infrastructure reliability

Required qualifications

• 12-15+ years of experience in machine learning, AI systems, or applied AI research at a Principal or equivalent technical level
• Strong research and publication track record in frontier AI research
• Experience conducting large-scale experimentation with significant compute infrastructure
• Deep expertise in areas such as agentic systems, LLMs, and reinforcement learning
• Proven experience building and deploying enterprise-grade AI systems at scale
