Principal AI Scientist - Finance

Job Summary

Leading the development of advanced analytics and machine learning models, the full-time Principal AI Scientist - Finance will manage end-to-end machine learning initiatives focused on financial forecasting, anomaly detection, and risk modeling while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of statistical and machine learning models for financial insights and risk management
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to leverage data for revenue growth and efficiency optimization
• Communicate complex AI/ML concepts to C-suite and senior leadership, influencing high-impact financial decisions

Required qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Financial Engineering, or related STEM fields
• 8+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning and predictive modeling, preferably in finance or healthcare
• Proven expertise in financial forecasting, risk modeling, and large-scale data analysis
• Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience with big-data technologies and scalable model deployment in cloud environments
