Principal AI Solutions Engineer

Job Summary

Acting as a trusted advisor to senior technical stakeholders, the freelance Principal AI Solutions Engineer will design and build data solutions for AI training and evaluation, managing client relationships and delivering end-to-end data strategies in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical counterpart to client leadership, leading executive conversations and managing expectations
• Diagnose client needs and propose effective AI data solutions based on a strong understanding of LLM training and evaluation
• Design and build complex data pipelines and solutions, ensuring quality and scalability while providing technical leadership during implementation

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience delivering complex AI, ML, or data projects end to end
• Strong understanding of modern LLM development and evaluation methodologies
• Hands-on experience in designing complex AI solutions and developing multi-stage pipelines
• Solid software development foundations, including version control and iterative development
• Exceptional problem-framing skills with the ability to translate ambiguous goals into clear AI data strategies
