Principal Analyst - Composting

Job Summary

To advance compostable packaging initiatives, the full-time Principal Analyst - Composting will develop strategies for managing compostable products under EPR programs, provide technical guidance to producers, and lead RFI/RFP processes, all while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile definitions and requirements for compostable packaging across EPR states
• Develop an inventory of composting infrastructure and assess acceptance of compostables by processing facilities
• Advise on funding approaches and establish grant programs to support compostable product acceptance and market development

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Operations/Supply Chain Logistics, Data Analytics; Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in compostable packaging, organics recovery systems, or a related field
• Demonstrated operational experience in organics recovery systems
• Strong policy analysis and project management skills
• Experience with RFI and RFP processes preferred
