Principal Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Principal Analytics Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, responsible for architecting and managing scalable data pipelines, acting as a dbt expert to enforce data product development best practices, and mentoring junior engineers to enhance team performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and lead the build-out of end-to-end data pipelines and the transformation layer
• Act as the dbt subject matter expert, managing the lifecycle of complex dimensional models and metrics
• Collaborate cross-functionally to scope and deliver high-impact analytics initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of analytics requirements

Required qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in an Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering role within a SaaS or high-tech environment
• Proficiency in SQL and strong production experience with major cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Extensive experience with DBT, including advanced features
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred
