Principal Android Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer, Android Performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the Android Mobile App and propose solutions for scaling to 100M+ DAUs
• Identify gaps in the current Android App Architecture and lead redesign efforts to enhance modularity and performance
• Mentor Android developers and serve as a resource for complex Android development challenges

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5+ years in Android application design and development
• Deep understanding of building Android applications at scale
• Experience influencing technical direction in large organizations (200+ engineers)
• Familiarity with modern Android development frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences
