Principal Application Support Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting critical energy applications, the full-time Principal Application Support Engineer will provide hands-on technical support, develop solutions, and enhance application performance while working remotely or from Columbus, OH/Chicago, IL.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and support production applications, databases, and integrations, restoring service during incidents
- Develop, test, and deploy enhancements to applications, databases, and reporting tools while improving operational transparency
- Collaborate with business SMEs to understand processes, validate results, and ensure compliance with operational standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Eight or more years of relevant experience in application development, database support, or production support
- Advanced SQL skills with strong experience in either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
- Experience developing or troubleshooting stored procedures, scheduled jobs, and data interfaces
- Ability to provide after-hours production support as needed
