Principal Applied Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Applied Scientist to lead the research, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI systems in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, train, validate, and test machine learning and statistical models for various healthcare applications
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to leverage healthcare data for technical solutions
• Research and prototype new AI/ML methodologies to enhance cost-effectiveness and quality in healthcare

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related STEM fields
• 8+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling
• Strong knowledge in machine learning theory and foundational statistics
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and deep learning frameworks
• Experience with big data technologies and scalable model deployment in cloud environments
