Principal Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Architect to design and guide the development of scalable, high-performance, AI-native systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and evolve the overall software architecture for the core platform, ensuring scalability and performance
• Define and evolve the architecture for AI systems, including model selection and retrieval-augmented generation
• Lead the adoption of AI-augmented engineering and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of progressive software development experience, with 2-3 years in an architecture or senior technical leadership role
• Polyglot fluency across backend languages and modern web frameworks
• Hands-on experience architecting production LLM-powered systems and using AI coding assistants
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and experience designing scalable, cloud-native systems on AWS
