Job Summary
To support a large, multi-year IT services program for a government client, the fully remote Principal Architect will manage the program's reference architecture, establish technical standards, and lead architecture governance processes to ensure secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve the program's reference architecture across cloud, security, data platforms, and integrations
- Establish and govern cross-team technical standards and architectural patterns to promote consistency and security
- Lead architecture governance processes, including reviews and decision-making forums for significant technical decisions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field; advanced degrees preferred
- Demonstrated experience as a Principal Architect or similar role on large-scale federal IT services programs
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, security, and large-scale data platforms
- Experience establishing architecture governance frameworks and leading technical decision-making bodies
- Relevant architecture certifications preferred, such as TOGAF or cloud-specific credentials
