Principal Architect - IAM

Job Summary

Defining and owning identity, access management, and security architecture for Lumen's NaaS platform, the full-time remote Principal Architect - IAM will manage IAM strategy, design Zero Trust principles, and architect customer identity and access management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own IAM strategy and target-state architecture across Lumen's NaaS identity ecosystem
• Design and operationalize Zero Trust identity principles, ensuring continuous verification and least privilege enforcement
• Architect customer identity and access management (CIAM) solutions, balancing security with customer experience

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information security, or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience
• Deep expertise in enterprise IAM architecture, particularly with Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD and AWS IAM
• Expert knowledge of authentication and federation standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML
• Experience in designing Zero Trust architecture principles and RBAC/ABAC models at enterprise scale
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, or NIST 800-53 compliance architecture
