Job Summary

As a deeply hands-on senior independent contributor, the full-time remote Principal Architect, Technology - Subscriber Edge will own the BNG architecture, RADIUS platform, and subscriber policy systems, guiding engineering teams through complex design and migration decisions for over a million broadband subscribers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage BNG architecture and subscriber session management for residential and business services across fiber and copper networks
• Oversee the RADIUS platform architecture for subscriber authentication, including large-scale migrations and policy enforcement solutions
• Architect and maintain DDoS detection and mitigation strategies, ensuring security and compliance for subscriber-edge systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in broadband, ISP, or telecommunications network architecture with expertise in subscriber-edge platforms
• Proven experience designing and migrating large-scale RADIUS or subscriber authentication platforms
• Hands-on experience with IPv6 architecture and dual-stack implementation
• Strong technical documentation skills for producing deployment guides and architecture standards
