Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Principal ASIC Physical Design Engineer for a full-time remote position, responsible for leading physical design implementation and signoff for ASIC, IP, and chiplet development programs, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead collaboration with various teams throughout the implementation cycle, from synthesis through tape-out
- Drive block-level and chip-level physical design implementation using industry-standard tools and methodologies
- Own end-to-end timing closure activities, including multi-corner multi-mode analysis and ECO implementation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 15+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 12+ years; or PhD with 8+ years
- Experience with advanced semiconductor process nodes and deep submicron design challenges
- Extensive knowledge of SoC and ASIC physical design flows and implementation methodologies
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Tcl, Perl, Shell, and Python
- Strong understanding of digital logic design fundamentals and low-power design techniques
