Principal Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff / Principal Backend Engineer (Python).

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to define and validate new features
• Design and implement microservice endpoints using Python or Java, and manage builds and deployments
• Mentor other developers and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and best practices

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of web development experience in Python, with Java and/or Kotlin preferred
• Proficiency in SQL database design and interaction
• Knowledge of RESTful API principles and conventions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Passion for building innovative, scalable solutions with real customer impact
