Principal Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Principal Backend Engineer, responsible for diagnosing and prioritizing foundational investments in a remote, full-time role, while addressing complex backend system challenges and enhancing engineering quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and prioritize impactful foundational investments across the Super Agent backend
• Own cross-cutting system problems and design interfaces between teams and systems
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality standards through best practices

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a backend engineer with large-scale web applications
• Deep expertise in backend engineering areas such as data modeling and API design
• Proven track record of diagnosing architectural problems and driving solutions
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers on requirements
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability in engineering projects
