Principal BI Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal BI Engineer (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users and technology teams to create innovative data solutions
• Optimize BI dashboard quality, consistency, usability, and reliability
• Design semantic data layers for analytics and AI, and work with various teams to automate data analysis and visualization

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Tableau, including best practices and performance tuning
• Strong experience with SQL and Python
• Experience in building semantic layers using tools such as Cube.dev, AtScale, dbt, and Dremio
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field is highly preferable
• Ability to mentor a team of data analysts and meet strict deadlines
