Principal BI Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal BI Engineer (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users and technology teams to understand data needs and create innovative solutions
• Optimize BI dashboard quality, consistency, usability, and reliability
• Design semantic data layer for analytics and AI while working with various engineering teams to automate data analysis and visualization

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Tableau, including best practices and performance tuning
• Strong experience with SQL and Python
• Experience in building the semantic layer using tools such as Cube.dev, AtScale, dbt, and Dremio
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is highly preferable
• Ability to provide mentoring to a team of data analysts
