Principal BI Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal BI Engineer (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of BI Engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching
• Collaborate with business users, technology teams, and executives to understand data needs and deliver innovative solutions
• Build BI dashboards and improve their quality, consistency, usability, reliability, and security

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 5+ years of experience with Tableau, including best practices and performance tuning
• Strong experience with SQL and Python
• Experience in data modeling, semantic layer, and data catalog
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similarly relevant field is strongly preferred
• Ability to mentor and guide a team of data analysts
