Principal Budget Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Budget Analyst to support financial planning and analysis activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze monthly financial performance and prepare variance reports
• Prepare and consolidate the annual budget for Capital, Operating, and overhead-funded programs
• Track and report on departmental overtime usage and manage project charge codes throughout their lifecycle

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in complex financial analysis, reporting, and budget forecasting within a large organization
• Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and macros/VBA
• Demonstrated experience using SAP financial modules, Peoplesoft, Oracle Essbase, and Hyperion with SmartView applications
• Ability to reconcile financial data and work with large datasets
