Principal Civil Engineer, P.E.

Job Summary

Supporting complex mining, reclamation, and development projects, the full-time hybrid Principal Civil Engineer, P.E. will provide technical leadership, manage project teams, and engage with clients and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycles.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage teams of junior engineers from conceptual design through construction and operations
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, develop stormwater management designs, and ensure compliance with agency requirements
• Prepare design documentation, provide construction support, and present technical topics to clients and regulatory agencies

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience, with 15 or more preferred
• Prior experience supporting mining projects
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) with the ability to obtain reciprocity in western states
• Proficiency with civil design using computer-based modeling applications (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
