Principal Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Principal Cloud Engineer will own and evolve infrastructure automation platforms, lead the design of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies, and build observability tooling to ensure infrastructure resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve infrastructure automation platforms and CI/CD pipelines for engineering teams across a distributed environment
• Lead the design and validation of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies, including failover design and chaos engineering
• Define and govern Infrastructure as Code standards, ensuring high platform reliability and incident response quality

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience, with at least 7 years as the primary architect of infrastructure automation platforms
• Deep production experience designing and operating Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent
• Expertise in CI/CD for infrastructure, including pipeline design and drift detection
• Proven track record in owning Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies end-to-end
• Hands-on experience with chaos engineering and resilience testing in production environments
