Principal Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing tech-driven utilization management company, the full-time remote Principal Cloud Engineer will design, govern, and optimize cloud infrastructure while mentoring teams and leading complex cloud initiatives from design through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the highest-level technical authority for Azure cloud infrastructure and architecture
• Define and enforce cloud engineering standards, governance practices, and lead cloud infrastructure projects end-to-end
• Mentor Systems Administration and Information Security teams, enhancing organizational cloud competency through knowledge transfer and coaching

Required qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering, with 5 years at a senior or principal level in Microsoft Azure
• Expert-level knowledge of Azure networking and security services, including governance and operational frameworks
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Azure Bicep) and CI/CD pipeline tooling
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-700, and AZ-305 required; AZ-400 preferred
