Principal Commodity Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Commodity Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships within assigned category and develop category strategies to improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Lead execution of category strategies through preferred supplier lists and conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers
• Research and communicate industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and increased productivity

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years of experience required, with 10-12 years typical
• Experience managing contracts required
• High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in MS Access, Project, and Visio preferred
• MBA preferred
