Principal Computational Biologist

Job Summary

Leading the scientific development of a functional-ranking system, the full-time Principal Computational Biologist will validate evidence for rankings, design precise scientific labels, and ensure defensibility of rankings in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the evidence that establishes the correctness of rankings and build benchmarks for validation
• Collaborate with commercial and product teams to define and refine scientific labels for ranking
• Ensure that all rankings are defensible and support decision-making on label investments

Required qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, genetics, systems biology, or a closely related quantitative field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in designing evaluations for complex problems without clear standards
• Strong understanding of functional genomics and disease biology
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and validation
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
