Job Summary
To support the GHG Accounting and Reporting service in North America, the full-time Principal Consultant - GHG Accounting will manage consulting projects, lead GHG inventory services, and develop client relationships in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and lead the delivery of GHG inventory services, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reporting
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery
- Draft reports and presentations to inform strategic decision-making and provide technical leadership to clients
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, mathematics, engineering, science, economics, or a related field; Master's preferred
- 8+ years of experience in corporate GHG emissions accounting across multiple sectors
- Proficiency in calculating and reporting Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions with experience in inventory boundary setting and renewable energy accounting
- Familiarity with carbon accounting standards and programs (e.g., ISO 14064, GHG Protocol)
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience with third-party audits of GHG inventories
