Principal Credit Risk Analyst
Job Summary
Leading analytical work that shapes credit strategy across consumer lending portfolios, the full-time Principal Credit Risk & Pricing Analyst will translate complex data into actionable recommendations, influence senior-level decision-making, and develop credit risk strategies while working onsite in Plano, Texas with the option for remote work one day per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development of credit risk strategies across consumer lending portfolios, including originations and loss mitigation
- Synthesize internal and external data to identify portfolio trends and strategic opportunities
- Deliver recurring reporting and insights to senior leadership, translating analytical findings into clear recommendations
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in a Senior Actuarial Analyst, Principal Credit Risk Pricing Analyst, or related role
- Proficiency in statistical and data science methods, including programming languages such as SAS, R, and Python
- Experience with SQL for data validation, automated decision rules, and managing relational databases
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
