Principal Crisis Worker

Job Summary

Providing critical support to LGBTQ+ youth, the full-time Principal Crisis Worker will deliver crisis intervention counseling via text, chat, or phone, while also mentoring peers and managing administrative tasks in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide crisis intervention counseling to LGBTQ+ young people through various communication channels
• Mentor and support other Crisis Workers during high-risk engagements, ensuring quality crisis support
• Complete administrative tasks and participate in training activities to enhance service quality

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience in crisis care
• Demonstrated ability to meet performance expectations in previous crisis work roles
• Proficiency in spoken and written English with strong communication skills
• Knowledge of LGBTQ+ issues and the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth
• A quiet, private work environment with reliable high-speed internet access
