Job Summary
Providing critical support to LGBTQ+ youth, the full-time Principal Crisis Worker will deliver crisis intervention counseling via text, chat, or phone, while also mentoring peers and managing administrative tasks in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention counseling to LGBTQ+ young people through various communication channels
- Mentor and support other Crisis Workers during high-risk engagements, ensuring quality crisis support
- Complete administrative tasks and participate in training activities to enhance service quality
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience in crisis care
- Demonstrated ability to meet performance expectations in previous crisis work roles
- Proficiency in spoken and written English with strong communication skills
- Knowledge of LGBTQ+ issues and the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth
