Principal Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the engineering and operations of security tools and systems, the full-time remote Principal Cyber Security Engineer will assess vulnerabilities, design technical solutions, and mentor associates to enhance the Bank's information security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Researches and implements process improvements and security assessments to enhance information security and compliance
• Maintains knowledge of industry practices and evolving threats, advising management and mentoring associates on security protocols
• Leads incident investigations and resolutions, preparing reports and creating documentation for recurring issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Network, or Information Security, or High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of relevant experience
• Strong hands-on knowledge of federated authentication protocols, including SAML and OIDC
• Experience with at least one enterprise IAM/SSO platform (e.g., Okta, Ping)
• Proven scripting and automation expertise in Python and PowerShell
• Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
