Principal Data Analyst

Job Summary

To support an industry leader in financial services, the remote Principal System Data Analyst will drive backlog creation and refinement, analyze system dependencies and data flows, and facilitate Agile ceremonies while collaborating with cross-functional teams over a 6-month contract.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Analyze system dependencies, data flows, and integration points to identify risks and opportunities
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data analysis, system analysis, or business systems analysis within enterprise environments
• Understanding of data platforms, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes (Informatica, Control-M, or similar tools)
• Experience working with data platforms such as Snowflake, including data modeling and query optimization
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and understanding of data architecture best practices
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
