Principal Data Analyst/BI Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing data technology practice, the full-time Principal Data Analyst/BI Engineer will serve as a key technical leader, guiding data architecture and measurement strategies while ensuring cohesive integration across data ecosystems in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the data technology roadmap and act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into measurable data solutions
• Support the end-to-end BI stack, including data ingestion, transformation, and modeling, while ensuring data governance and quality
• Implement marketing technology strategies, maintaining compliance with privacy regulations and optimizing data tracking and measurement practices

Required qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or marketing technology with a focus on technical leadership
• Deep experience with Snowflake and BigQuery, including modeling, performance, and governance
• Proficiency in Looker/LookML as a primary visualization tool and strong skills in Python for ETL/ELT processes
• Expertise in marketing data stacks, including tag management and consent frameworks
• Familiarity with privacy regulations such as CCPA/CPRA and GDPR and their impact on data practices
