Principal Data Architect

Job Summary

Owning the data and AI architecture across the company, the full-time Principal Data Architect will design production-grade AI systems, manage data strategy and integration, and partner closely with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and governance of AI systems and decisioning workflows while ensuring data consistency across platforms
• Act as the data strategy expert, guiding integration investments based on long-term value and business impact
• Establish architecture standards and review processes to enable agile development while mitigating technical debt

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data architecture, or systems architecture with significant hands-on involvement
• Deep expertise in data architecture, including relational databases and analytical data platforms
• Strong experience with AI/ML systems in production, particularly LLM-based architectures
• Proven experience in regulated environments with knowledge of data privacy and compliance requirements
• Strong skills in modern cloud architectures and data stacks, such as AWS and Databricks
