Principal Data Architect

Job Summary

Leading the development of a unified data strategy, the full-time remote Principal Data Architect will own the architecture of the data platform, design the canonical data model, and build the infrastructure that supports AI products while coaching and shaping the data team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture for the data platform, including Snowflake warehouse and dbt transformation layer
• Design and implement the canonical data model to unify product databases and ensure data quality standards
• Mentor and coach analytics engineers and data practitioners to enhance team capabilities and set architectural standards

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on data engineering and architecture experience in growth-stage SaaS
• Deep expertise in modern data stack technologies, including Snowflake and dbt
• Strong experience with data modeling techniques and resolving data quality issues related to AI products
• Proven track record of mentoring data professionals and shaping data organizations
• Ability to partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams
