Principal Data Architect

Job Summary

To build an AI-native data platform from the ground up, the full-time Principal Data Architect will lead the design and architecture of a modern data system while working remotely in a collaborative fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, modeling, and consumption
• Build unified data models and a metadata layer to support AI and business use
• Architect a Databricks and Azure-based lakehouse platform and establish ingestion patterns

Required qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in data architecture within fintech or SaaS
• Proven delivery of modern, AI-ready data platforms
• Deep expertise in Databricks, PySpark, and Azure
• Strong data modeling experience across dimensional or data vault approaches
• Experience with governance, metadata, and regulated data environments
