Principal Data Architect

Job Summary

Driving the vision for data architecture, the full-time Principal Data Architect will oversee the end-to-end data pipeline, lead the design of transformation layers, and ensure the delivery of reliable, reporting-ready data products while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end data pipeline landscape, ensuring reliability and timely delivery from ingestion to monitoring
• Lead the design and build-out of the transformation layer in dbt, establishing modular and well-documented models
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture, with a proven track record in leading engineering teams
• Expert-level SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt and data modeling across various data sets
• Deep experience with cloud data warehousing platforms, particularly Snowflake, and modern ELT and orchestration tools
• Proactive mindset with strong organizational and project management skills
