Principal Data Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Principal Data Architect for a full-time remote position, responsible for leading the design and modernization of the enterprise data ecosystem, defining a unified data architecture, and actively contributing to data modeling and integrations across various business domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build a deep understanding of business processes and translate them into standardized data models
• Lead the identification and standardization of reusable data assets, promoting enterprise-level data definitions and driving adoption across the organization

Required qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, architecture, or platform ownership roles
• Proven expertise in Snowflake and SQL Server, including design, security, and workload optimization
• Strong experience implementing and supporting Power BI enterprise deployments
• Hands-on experience with modern ELT tooling and orchestration
• Demonstrated eCommerce data experience, ideally including Shopify
