Principal Data Center Sourcer

Job Summary

Leading the sourcing and procurement of datacenter space globally, the full-time Principal Data Center Sourcer will drive complex negotiations and manage the entire lifecycle of datacenter acquisitions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global datacenter site selection and acquisition strategy in alignment with business goals
• Lead the lifecycle of datacenter acquisition, including market research, RFP generation, and negotiating agreements
• Build and maintain relationships with top-tier global vendors and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to drive performance

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical sourcing, real estate acquisition, or infrastructure procurement, with 5 years focused on datacenter and colocation deals
• Proven track record of negotiating and closing complex, high-value datacenter contracts
• Strong understanding of credit markets and financial modeling for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
• Deep knowledge of datacenter mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure and emerging power and cooling technologies
• Ability to communicate complex market dynamics into actionable strategies for executives and technical stakeholders
