Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineer to lead data architecture and engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement enterprise-wide data architecture strategies and develop data roadmaps
• Establish data governance policies and oversee the development of data warehousing and data lake solutions
• Lead and mentor data engineering teams, providing technical guidance on best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
• 15+ years of experience in software and data engineering roles
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL, and designing data warehousing solutions
• 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks/Spark
• In-depth understanding of formal architecture, design patterns, and best practices
