Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale data structures and pipelines to standardize data for insights and reporting
• Ensure data pipelines are observable, scalable, reliable, and secure while improving data quality
• Champion data governance and modern analytics practices to support data-driven business decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Applied Science
• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Software Engineering
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Databricks
• Expertise in infrastructure as code and automating data and ML pipelines
• Experience with cloud migration, preferably in Azure, and familiarity with PaaS offerings
