Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineer - Consumer Data AI / ML.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for machine learning and AI initiatives on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Implement and optimize data storage solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery and Dataflow
• Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related major, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on system design and backend development
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform ecosystem or AWS equivalent
• Proven ability to design and maintain data pipelines for machine learning and AI model development
• Fluency in at least one object-oriented programming language, with SQL proficiency valued for database operations
