Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineer to lead and mentor data engineering teams while overseeing data architecture and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor 3-4 build teams, providing technical direction and governance
• Establish and enforce design, engineering, and coding standards, including conducting code reviews
• Manage production monitoring, troubleshooting, and defect resolution

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and related technologies
• Proven experience in a Tech Lead role, including leading developers and managing work distribution
• Solid grounding in analytics, data warehousing, and modern data engineering practices
• Experience working in Agile frameworks and writing high-quality user stories
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide clarity for teams and stakeholders
