Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable data platform services and data products
• Define architecture and standards for data platform services, including data modeling and governance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and drive DataOps maturity

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of hands-on software and data engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Deep expertise with SQL, hive, dbt, Python, Snowflake, and modern data engineering tooling
• Strong experience designing data models and optimizing query performance at scale
• Extensive AWS experience and proficiency in designing solutions using cloud services and IaC
