Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineering professional to build and operate scalable machine learning platforms and production ML systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor data engineering teams while fostering a culture of reliability and innovation
• Define data platform architecture and maintain scalable data pipelines for analytics and machine learning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform engineering
• 8+ years of programming experience in Python or Scala, along with advanced SQL skills
• 6+ years of experience with modern data engineering technologies such as Apache Spark and Snowflake
• 5+ years of experience building cloud-based data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• 4+ years of experience leading data engineering teams or technical initiatives
