Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineer to manage the analytics data architecture and support business decisions through data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the data warehouse and reporting layer, setting data modeling patterns
• Write SQL and dbt models, refactor transformations, and build necessary tables and views
• Engage cross-functionally to understand data usage, identify gaps, and guide solutions

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related fields at a Principal level
• Deep expertise in relational database architecture and data modeling
• Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake and SQL, with experience managing a data warehouse
• Strong analytics engineering experience, preferably with dbt
• Solid hands-on experience with Python and building data jobs on AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions
