Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of major components within a business intelligence application, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will develop data ingestion and processing solutions, mentor engineering teams, and ensure data quality while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of the RezIntel platform
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure scalable, high-availability data storage solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in ETL technologies and concepts such as SSIS and Python/Pandas
• 8+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and implementation, particularly with SQL Server
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Experience in architecting scalable distributed data processing systems and using visualization tools such as PowerBI
