Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the transition to a new enterprise data platform, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will architect a high-scale data model and storage architecture, ensuring metrics reliability and building real-time data foundations for AI-driven products.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and execute a new data model and storage architecture, implementing Medallion architecture for data quality refinement
• Own the accuracy and reliability of core business metrics, designing validation frameworks for consistent reporting
• Build production code and mentor a team of Data Engineers while driving technical alignment across departments

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and backend systems at scale with a proven track record of delivering production enterprise systems
• Hands-on proficiency with data technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, and real-time data processing
• Experience building "source of truth" systems and ensuring data accuracy through validation and reconciliation
• Familiarity with building data APIs and systems that support ML/AI applications
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
