Job Summary

Owning the data architecture strategy, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will design and implement a scalable data platform for both machine and human users, focusing on enhancing query engines and semantic layers in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of data architecture, ensuring it meets the needs of both internal and external users
• Choose and advocate for the technology stack, including query engines and data ingestion methods
• Collaborate with product and leadership teams to drive data-related decisions based on evidence and trade-offs

Required qualifications

• Proven experience leading data architecture at scale with a strong decision-making track record
• In-depth knowledge of modern data stacks, including semantic layers, query engines, and analytical stores
• Experience with agentic AI and its data consumption needs
• Familiarity with development tools or CI/CD environments, particularly in monolithic product settings
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
