Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of the enterprise data platform strategy, the full-time remote Principal Data Engineer will define data standards, drive Snowflake platform maturity, and establish governance practices while overseeing the migration of legacy data assets into a scalable ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement data architecture, governance frameworks, and modernization initiatives
• Drive the migration of legacy data assets and establish engineering standards for enterprise analytics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and optimize data integration and ingestion solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of related experience, preferably in software development with increasing responsibilities
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming in C#, Java, Python, or equivalent
• Proficient in SQL integration development with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, and Jira
